The Provisional Central Committee of the Communist Party of Great Britain welcomes the statement by the Revolutionary Democratic Group (faction of the SWP) published in Weekly Worker 129 under the title ‘Unity around programme’, setting out the pathway towards fusion of our two organisations through a process of joint work combined with programmatic debate and clarification.
To this end the PCC will be launching a new series of programme seminars and debates in the near future, and will establish a joint programme commission to prepare a draft programme to be put before a conference in due course.
